The Cisco ASA5506-K9 is a powerful next-generation firewall from the ASA 5500-X Series, designed to provide advanced network security with FirePOWER Services. This security appliance is ideal for small to mid-size enterprises and branch offices, offering high-performance threat protection, firewall capabilities, and VPN support.

Featuring 8 x 1 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces along with 1 management port, the ASA 5506-X ensures seamless connectivity and secure network segmentation. With 300 Mbps stateful inspection throughput and 100 Mbps maximum VPN throughput, this appliance is built to handle demanding security requirements efficiently.

The unit supports up to 20,000 concurrent sessions, with an option to expand up to 50,000 using a Security Plus license. It includes 5 virtual interfaces (VLANs) by default, expandable to 30 VLANs with an upgrade. Additionally, its IPsec VPN support allows up to 10 VPN peers, with the ability to scale up to 50 as needed.

For optimal performance, the ASA 5506-X is equipped with 4 GB RAM, 8 GB Flash storage, and a 50 GB SSD for threat intelligence and security services. Powering the unit is an external AC adapter supporting 100-240V AC, 50/60 Hz.
